Pork Fried Rice

Pork Fried Rice

Ingredients:

2 c Pre-cooked Rice, cold
1 Tbs Oil
2 Eggs
3 Drops Soy Sauce
4 oz. Diced Ham
1/4 c Onion
1/4 c Peas
1/4 c Diced Carrot
2 Tbs Soy Sauce

Instructions:

In a large skillet, heat the oil. Mix eggs with 3 drops of soy sauce. Pour egg mixture into the skillet. Swirl the egg around so it’s very thin. Once it’s starting to puff up, flip the eggs over. When it’s cooked to your liking (I like my eggs very dry), chop the egg up in the skilled. Remove from pan and set aside. Add in a little more oil if needed then toss in the diced ham. Fry that up for awhile with your onion. After a few minutes, add in your vegetables. After another few minutes you can add in the rice in small sections to ensure that your getting it to brown and crisp. Sprinkle over the 2 Tbs soy sauce, tossing with the rice often. Add your egg back in and stir to combine. Once everything is well incorporated and heated through, dish up and enjoy. Great served up with an Egg Flower Soup!

Recipe: Egg Flower Soup (Egg Drop Soup)

Egg Flower Soup

Egg Flower Soup

Ingredients:

3 Tbs Cornstarch
3 Tbs Water
3 c Chicken Stock
1 c Water
1 – 14 oz. Can Corn, drained
2 tsp Olive Oil
2 Tbs Soy Sauce
1 tsp Pepper
2 Tbs Dried Minced Onion
2 Tbs Butter
1 tsp Ground Ginger
3 Eggs
1/4 c Peas

Instructions:

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and 3 Tbs water together and set aside. In a large pot, combine everything except the eggs, peas, and cornstarch mix. Bring to a rapid boil. Beat the eggs together in a small bowl. Then transfer then to a pourable container. Stir the soup rapidly to create a whirlpool and slowly drizzle the eggs into the boiling soup, very slowly. Once the eggs have “flowered” in the soup, add in the peas and cornstarch mix and stir. Once the peas have cooked to your liking, dish up and enjoy!
