15 oz. Can Cannellini Beans, rinsed and drained
1 1/3 c Bisquick
1/3 c Italian Dressing
1 1/2 c Chicken, cooked and diced
9 oz. Frozen Spinach, thawed and drained
4 oz. Mozzarella Cheese
1 1/4 c Milk
1/3 c Sliced Almonds
Pre-heat oven to 375°. In a medium bowl, mash the cannellini beans with the Bisquick and Italian Dressing. Press into the bottom and up 2″ of the sides of a 9″ springform pan. Bake for 12 minutes. While it’s baking, cook chicken if it’s not already cooked. Also, mix the eggs and milk together in a small bowl and set aside. When the crust is finished baking, layer the chicken, spinach, and cheese into the torta crust. Pour the egg mixture over the chicken, spinach, and cheese. Top with almonds. Bake for 55 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before cutting into it.
This was a recipe inspired by my husband. He envisioned a pub sausage wrapped in bacon and covered in a biscuit. I used Italian sausages, bacon, cheese, and my biscuit mix to create exactly what he wanted. So, try our sausage n’ bacon roll and let me know what you think of our new creation!
2 Tbs Vegetable Oil
4 Slices of Bacon
2 1/4 c Bisquick
2/3 c Milk
1 c Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 450°. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sausages and brown on all sides. Cover the skillet and cook sausages for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, mix Bisquick and milk in a bowl. Roll the dough out and create 4 squares that could cover the sausage (size depends on your sausages). Transfer squares to a baking sheet. Spread cheese over each dough square. Back to your sausage. Wrap each sausage in bacon and keep in place with toothpicks. Return the bacon wrapped sausage to the pan and cook until the bacon is well browned and crispy. Once they are ready, remove the toothpicks and place on a dough square. Roll the dough around the sausage and pinch the ends to completely surround the sausage, and bacon, with cheese and dough. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with your choice of condiments. I picked ketchup and my husband had his homemade horseradish mustard.
2 cups Bisquick
3/4 cup milk
5 oz Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
6 oz deli-style ham or turkey, very thinly sliced
6 oz deli-style turkey, very thinly sliced
1/3 cup jam
Heat oven to 400ºF. Lightly grease spring form pan. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick, milk and egg until blended.
Spread half of the dough in bottom of pan. Top with half each of the cheese, ham and turkey. Spread jam over turkey avoiding the very edges of the pan. Top with remaining ham, turkey and cheese. Spread remaining dough over cheese to sides of pan.
Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
*Often times people dust this with powdered sugar but we don’t and it’s still tasty!
