Pulled Pork Sandwiches

 

I realized that I hadn’t yet shared this delicious recipe for pulled pork sandwiches. It’s an easy crock pot dish and I’ve never met a man who didn’t love it! You can serve it with your favorite BBQ sauce as well as a side of beans and corn or coleslaw if you’d like. Perfect for potlucks, busy days, lazy days, or just a delicious summer meal.

 

Ingredients:

 

Marinade

 

1/2 c Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tbs Dried Minced Onion
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3 lb. Pork Roast, boneless

 

Rub

 

1 Tbs Sugar
1 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Pepper
2 Tbs Ketchup

 

Buns (hamburger, sandwich, onion…)
BBQ Sauce, your favorite

 

Instructions:

 

Add the marinade ingredients to a ziploc bag and refrigerate it overnight if you can. Otherwise, dump it all in the crock pot. Mix the rub ingredients together and rub on top of the pork roast. Cook on low for 8 hours. Shred the pork with two forks and serve on buns with your favorite BBQ sauce and sides.

 

Recipe: Saucy Green Beans

Saucy Green Beens

Saucy Green Beans

Ingredients:

1 Tbs Olive Oil
1 tsp Worchestershire Sauce
1/8 tsp Pepper
2 Handfuls Green Beans
2/3 c Sauce from BBQ Beef (or 2 parts BBQ sauce, 1 part diced tomatoes)

Instructions:

Heat Olive Oil and Worcestershire sauce in a skillet. Add the green beans and pepper. Saute lightly. Then add in the BBQ Beef Sauce and cook until the green beans have reached your desired level of cooked. I like mine with a little crunch still but you may like them much softer. Taste testing will help here. This is great served up with my BBQ Beef Sandwich.

BBQ Beef Sandwich

This dish will have you drooling over it and you won’t be able to wait to taste it. While it does take a little more than three hours to cook, the wait is well worth it. You also have the option of cooking in in a crock pot on low all day if time is in short supply. This will serve 10-12.

Ingredients:

3 Tbs Olive Oil
1/4 c Dried Minced Onion
28 oz. Can Diced Tomatoes
18 oz. Bottle BBQ Sauce
1/4 tsp Pepper
3 lb Chuck Roast
Sandwich Rolls

Instructions:

Saute onion in oil. Add tomatoes, BBQ sauce, and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Add in your chuck and cook on low for 3 hours. Remove the beef and shred with two forks. While you’re shredding the beef, bring the broth up to a boil and reduce the amount of liquid. Once the beef is shredded, add it back into the broth and stir well to mix. Allow the beef to get hot again if it cooled down too much while you were shredding. Serve on toasted buns.

Recipe: Easy Ribs

Easy Slow Cooked Ribs

Ingredients:
Ribs (try to buy quality, it pays off and you get more meat than fat)
1 Bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce (We like Jack Daniels Honey BBQ Sauce)
1 C Orange Juice

Instructions:

  1. Heat oven to 250°
  2. Place ribs in a baking pan
  3. Mix BBQ sauce and orange juice
  4. Pour mixture over ribs
  5. Cover with foil and cook for 3 hours
  6. Enjoy! They will fall off the bone. Bring napkins, lots of napkins
