Baked Penne with Meatballs

Baked Penne with Meatballs

An easy Italian dish fit for a crowd. Serves 8.


1 Tbs Olive Oil
1 Tbs Dried Minced Onion
1/2 tsp Dried Minced Garlic (4 cloves)
15 oz. Tomato Sauce
2 Tomatoes, diced
1 tsp Dried Basil
1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
2 c Green Beans
35 – 1″ Meatballs
4 c Penne Pasta
1/4 c Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 c Shredded Mozzarella Cheese


Cook onion and garlic in oil. Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes along with the basil and oregano. Stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add meatballs and green beans. Simmer for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cook pasta according do directions on box, drain and set aside. Once the sauce has simmered for 20 minutes, add in the pasta and Parmesan cheese, and toss to fill the pasta with sauce. Transfer to a 9×13 baking dish (3 qt. casserole). Top with mozzarella cheese and cover with foil. Bake at 400° for 20 min covered, then 5-10 min uncovered.
